Having grown up in the Finger Lakes region, I have many fond memories of family activities and outings on the waterways of this region…swimming lessons, boating on the lakes, camping on the shores of Lake Ontario, fishing in the rivers with my father and grandfather. During the winter, my sister and I enjoyed watching them ice fish on Owasco Lake as we skated circles around them. There’s no doubt that anyone who’s ever lived here or visited this region will have memories associated with its waterways.
